Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the Phoenix Suns center's use of a racially derogatory word and other foul language left him no choice. Arpaio made Shaq a special deputy in 2006 and promoted him to colonel of his largely ceremonial posse later that year.

The superintendent said he had no independent confirmation of a pact. But he added: "What we do know is there was a group of students being tested for pregnancy on a regular basis, which would suggest they were not taking steps to avoid becoming pregnant, and that when some of them had their babies, they appeared to be very pleased."

None of the girls or their families have come forward to confirm any type of pact, and school and health officials have not identified any of the youngsters.

Ain't love Grand...

An Australian man saved his wife's life by leaping onto the back of a large crocodile as it attacked her, police said Thursday.

The 2.5-metre (8.25 feet) saltwater crocodile attacked the 36-year-old woman on Wednesday as the couple swam in a creek in Litchfield National Park southwest of the Northern Territory capital of Darwin.

"A crocodile grabbed the woman, and her husband jumped on the back of the animal in an attempt to free her," a police spokeswoman said.

The startled reptile released the woman and swam off.

Kudos to this Aussie , I'm not sure many dudes in this city would do that....

Dear Jodi:

Thank you for engaging in one of the biggest misrepresentations of the truth I have ever seen in sixty-five years. You sat and shared with me for two hours. You told me you were doing a "Spiritual Biography" of Senator Barack Obama. For two hours, I shared with you how I thought he was the most principled individual in public service that I have ever met.

For two hours, I talked with you about how idealistic he was. For two hours I shared with you what a genuine human being he was. I told you how incredible he was as a man who was an African American in public service, and as a man who refused to announce his candidacy for President until Carol Moseley Braun indicated one way or the other whether or not she was going to run.

I told you what a dreamer he was. I told you how idealistic he was. We talked about how refreshing it would be for someone who knew about Islam to be in the Oval Office. Your own question to me was, Didn't I think it would be incredible to have somebody in the Oval Office who not only knew about Muslims, but had living and breathing Muslims in his own family?

I told you how important it would be to have a man who not only knew the difference between Shiites and Sunnis prior to 9/11/01 in the Oval Office, but also how important it would be to have a man who knew what Sufism was; a man who understood that there were different branches of Judaism; a man who knew the difference between Hasidic Jews, Orthodox Jews, Conservative Jews and Reformed Jews; and a man who was a devout Christian, but who did not prejudge others because they believed something other than what he believed.

I talked about how rare it was to meet a man whose Christianity was not just 'in word only'. I talked about Barack being a person who lived his faith and did not argue his faith. I talked about Barack as a person who did not draw doctrinal lines in the sand nor consign other people to hell if they did not believe what he believed.

Out of a two-hour conversation with you about Barack's spiritual journey and my protesting to you that I had not shaped him nor formed him, that I had not mentored him or made him the man he was, even though I would love to take that credit, you did not print any of that. When I told you, using one of your own Jewish stories from the Hebrew Bible as to how God asked Moses, "What is that in your hand?" that Barack was like that when I met him. Barack had it "in his hand". Barack had in his grasp a uniqueness in terms of his spiritual development that one is hard put to find in the 21st century, and you did not print that.

As I was just starting to say a moment ago, Jodi, out of two hours of conversation I spent approximately five to seven minutes on Barack's taking advice from one of his trusted campaign people and deeming it unwise to make me the media spotlight on the day of his announcing his candidacy for the Presidency and what do you print? You and your editor proceeded to present to the general public a snippet, a printed "sound byte" and a titillating and tantalizing article about his disinviting me to the Invocation on the day of his announcing his candidacy.

I have never been exposed to that kind of duplicitous behavior before, and I want to write you publicly to let you know that I do not approve of it and will not be party to any further smearing of the name, the reputation, the integrity or the character of perhaps this nation's first (and maybe even only) honest candidate offering himself for public service as the person to occupy the Oval Office.

Your editor is a sensationalist. For you to even mention that makes me doubt your credibility, and I am looking forward to see how you are going to butcher what else I had to say concerning Senator Obama's Spiritual Biography. Our Conference Minister, the Reverend Jane Fisler Hoffman, a white woman who belongs to a Black church that Hannity of Hannity and Colmes is trying to trash, set the record straight for you in terms of who I am and in terms of who we are as the church to which Barack has belonged for over twenty years.

The president of our denomination, the Reverend John Thomas, has offered to try to help you clarify in your confused head what Trinity Church is even though you spent the entire weekend with us setting me up to interview me for what turned out to be a smear of the Senator; and yet The New York Times continues to roll on making the truth what it wants to be the truth.

I do not remember reading in your article that Barack had apologized for listening to that bad information and bad advice. Did I miss it? Or did your editor cut it out? Either way, you do not have to worry about hearing anything else from me for you to edit or spin because you are more interested in journalism than in truth.

Forgive me for having a momentary lapse. I forgot that The New York Times was leading the bandwagon in trumpeting why it is we should have gone into an illegal war. The New York Times became George Bush and the Republican Party's national blog. The New York Times played a role in the outing of Valerie Plame. I do not know why I thought The New York Times had actually repented and was going to exhibit a different kind of behavior.

Maybe it was my faith in the Jewish Holy Day of Roshashana. Maybe it was my being caught up in the euphoria of the Season of Lent; but whatever it is or was, I was sadly mistaken. There is no repentance on the part of The New York Times. There is no integrity when it comes to The Times. You should do well with that paper, Jodi. You looked me straight in my face and told me a lie!

(MEMPHIS, TN 2/18/2008) A love triangle turns violent. Two twenty-something women fighting over the same guy. One pulls out a gun and starts shooting. But in this case the guy the women were fighting over is barely old enough to get a driver's permit.

The shooting happened the day after Valentine's Day at the Cypress Garden Apartments.

"We're starting to get cases on women just like anything else," said Lt. Nathan Berryman with the Memphis Police Dept. "It's not male exclusive crime anymore."

Police say 20-year-old Cherry Wright tried to kill her boyfriend's ex during a drive-by shooting. According to the report, she rolled up to 23-year-old Lakeviette Smith's apartment, pointed a gun out the window and started firing at her.

The guy they're fighting over was behind the wheel. He's only 15 years old.

"He could be 15, he could be 20. You have conflict between people that doesn't de-escalate. It just keeps going and going," said Lt. Berryman.

And it doesn't end there. Fortunately Smith wasn't hit, but police say with all the gunfire Wright accidentally shot her teenage boyfriend in the neck.

He's charged with helping her gun down his ex, who also happens to be pregnant with his child.

A jealous feud that got out of control. It's something police say they encounter way too often.

"They get into an argument, it results in a fist fight, that doesn't settle it, it's not over, they return with a gun and shoot up a house or shoot somebody," said Lt. Berryman.

Wright's behind bars on a $500,000 bond. Her 15-year-old boyfriend wasn't seriously hurt.

Robert is a graduate of Southern University (Q-dog) and is now an
accountant with Home Depot at their corporate office in Atlanta. My
understanding is that he financially footed the bill for this weekend
himself. I was told that he moved in with his sister for approx. 6mos. and

Heath Ledger found dead- This one is a shocker

Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan apartment, naked in bed with sleeping pills nearby, police said. The Australian-born actor was 28. It wasn't immediately clear if Ledger had committed suicide.

He had an appointment for a massage at a residence in the tony neighborhood of SoHo, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said. A housekeeper who went to let him know the massage therapist had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

Man jailed for stealing 45 kg of ladies' undies

COLFAX, WASH.–A man is facing jail time after admitting he stole 45 kilograms of women's undergarments.

Garth Flaherty, 24, was charged with first-degree theft and burglary in the stealing of 1,613 pairs of panties, bras and other women's underwear from laundry rooms.

Under an agreement with prosecutors, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced in Whitman County Superior Court in Colfax, Washington, to 45 days in jail. He may be allowed to serve 30 days of his term in community service.

Flaherty was arrested March 24 after police received a report of a man hanging out in an apartment complex laundry room.

In his bedroom, police said, they found enough women's underwear to fill five garbage bags.

Police had previously received 12 reports of panty thefts in the northeast part of Pullman, where Washington State University is located.

A Manhattan restaurant that unveiled a record-breaking $US25,000 ($A28,266) dessert last week has been forced to shut its doors temporarily due to an infestation of mice and cockroaches.

Serendipity 3 on the Upper East Side failed its second consecutive health inspection in a month on Wednesday night after health officials found a live mouse, mouse droppings in multiple places, flies and dozens of live cockroaches, the Heath Department said.

This road was really greasy

A waste truck leaked poultry fat along 30 kilometres of Virginia roadway today caused at least four crashes, not to mention a stinky mess.

State police say a valve was left open on a truck hauling waste grease from the Perdue Farms rending plant in Accomac.

The mistake wasn't noticed until the truck reached a weigh station at the Maryland state line.

At least four crashes and several spinouts were reported on northbound U.S. Route 13. One injured person was taken to hospital.

Hung by the fine print in its own contract, Rogers Wireless was ordered by a small claims court judge yesterday to pay $2,000 in punitive damages to an Osgoode law professor for turning off her young son's phone because she refused to pay more than $14,000 for long distance calls she never made.
"I have come to the conclusion that Rogers hasn't been nice," said Madame Justice Pamela Thomson, in ruling that the company was in breach of contract for terminating service to the 11-year-old's phone. "The blocking of the phone caused huge stress on the family."
Drummond bought two phones from Rogers Wireless so that she could be in touch with her son, Noah, when he took the subway to school for the first time in September 2005, only to discover just before school started that his cell phone had been shut off.
Drummond was elated by yesterday's decision.
"It sends out the message that this kind of behaviour is egregious and immoral," said Drummond, an associate professor at Osgoode.
Although she has no courtroom experience, Drummond represented herself in court.
"I am hoping Rogers takes this to heart and does some serious thinking about how they treat their customers," she said. "They exist because customers pay their bills."
In August 2005, Drummond returned from a research trip to Israel to a message on her home phone from Rogers, saying to call them about her cellular phone use.
She called the company's office the next day, to learn that more than $12,000 in calls had been made to Pakistan, Russia, the U.K., India and Libya while she was out of the country. It was only then Drummond realized her phone had been stolen from her home while she was away.
She testified that her life was turned upside-down for several weeks as she struggled to right the problem.
Rogers took the position that Drummond was responsible for paying the charges because she had not reported the phone missing. She told them she did not plan to pay the fraudulent charges, although she paid her regular charges well in advance of the due date of Sept. 10.
Rogers shut down her son's phone on Sept. 2, arguing in court that even though payment of the $12,000, wasn't due until Sept. 10, Drummond had indicated to Rogers that she wouldn't be paying it.
Thomson ruled Rogers was in breach of contract for failing to properly notify Drummond that an interim payment was required in such cases, as per Rogers own contract, which, Thomson pointed out, contained print so fine that a magnifying glass was required to read it.
When Drummond sought an explanation at a Rogers outlet for why her son's phone wasn't working, she was at first told it was a hardware problem and that she had to spend $25 to have it fixed, which she did.
Drummond was awarded punitive damages because Rogers failed to produce a witness to explain why, even after Noah's phone service was restored, the family was not notified.
After the verdict, Rogers' lead lawyer, Joseph C. D'Angelo, of Lang Michener LLP, said he had to confer with his client to determine whether Rogers would appeal.
"We're surprised, as we had zeroed-out Ms. Drummond's bill, had apologized and made a goodwill payment," said Jan Innes, vice-president of communications for Rogers Communications, after the verdict.
Ted Rogers personally intervened in the case after it drew media attention in 2005. He ordered Drummond's bill wiped clean, offered a personal apology and issued a cheque for a little more than $5,000 to Drummond.
Drummond certified it, but has never cashed it. She said she decided to pursue her case in small claims court because she wanted to make a point.

NEW YORK – Police called to a Long Island man's house discovered the mummified remains of the resident, dead for more than a year, sitting in front of a blaring television set.

The 70-year-old Hampton Bays, New York, resident, identified as Vincenzo Ricardo, appeared to have died of natural causes. Police said Saturday his body was discovered Thursday when they were called to the house over a burst water pipe.

"You could see his face. He still had hair on his head," Newsday quoted morgue assistant Jeff Bacchus as saying. The home's low humidity had preserved the body.

Officials could not explain why the electricity had not been turned off, considering Ricardo had not been heard from since December 2005.

Neighbours said when they had not seen Ricardo, who was diabetic and had been blind for years, they assumed he was in the hospital or a long-term care facility.

On Christmas day the world lost the Godfather of soul, a month later and the #1 Soul brother has not been laid to rest. The late James Brown did not included his wife in his will, according to lawyers.

The body of soul singer James Brown has yet to be buried as attorneys and his children work to settle issues surrounding his estate, including where he will be laid to rest.

For now, his body lies in a sealed casket in his home on Beech Island, said Charles Reid, manager of the C.A. Reid Funeral Home in Augusta, Ga., which handled the services.

Brown died of heart failure Dec. 25 at age 73. His will has yet to be filed, said Buddy Dallas, an attorney for the singer. The room where Brown's body lies is being kept at a controlled temperature, and security guards keep watch, Reid said.

On the other hand, he seems be well preserved , he may be above ground this Xmas!!
Brown's home has been locked since hours after his death to protect his memorabilia, furnishing, clothes and other personal items, Dallas said. "Just imagine what would have happened," Dallas said. "Items of James Brown would have left there like items off the shelves of Macy's in an after-Christmas sale."

Brown's children, will determine the burial site, Dallas said but his widow Tomi Rae Hynie and Brown's family have been feuding since his death.

Mom charged after driving daughter to school to fight rival

Woonsocket, R.I. — Two mothers and their 13-year-old daughters were arrested after police say one woman drove her already suspended daughter to school to fight a teenage rival.
Ana Rivera, 44, and Maribel Santiago, 34, are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on a charge of simple assault in connection with Monday's fight. Their daughters and two other 13-year-old girls were charged with disorderly conduct and their cases were turned over to the Juvenile Detective Division.
Ms. Rivera allegedly drove her daughter to Woonsocket Middle School so she could fight Santiago's daughter.- Mother of the year right HERE!!

Police reports say the girls began feuding two weeks ago and began fighting outside the school on Monday. At one point, the melee involved all four girls, both mothers and a teacher, according to police.

Authorities said a teacher tried to break up the fight and was hit by Ms. Santiago.
Ms. Santiago and Ms. Rivera were released on $1,000 (U.S.) bail Monday evening, but Detective Lt. Timothy Paul said the department intends to notify the state Department of Children, Youth and Families about Ms. Rivera's case.

The season finale for PRISON BREAK was an anti-climatic mess. Yes I said it despite my love for Wenthworth in my humble opinion the Prison break finale ended in a pipin hot mess O' crap. So we left Michael hanging on for dear life , Manche ( aka Gordo) chose to be last and fell into the arms of CO's and provided a great diversion I might add. Then we were off to obvious twist and turns, it seems like it was kill off the character day 'cause we saw the demise of Westmoreland, Dr. Sara(It's not completely clear that she's dead yet, but it sure looked that way. ) and the President. Vice bitchyness is now President aka Queen bee . Veronica arrives in Montana, to say hello to Terrence ( yes the murder victim is alive and well , who knew!!). T-BAG got the brilliant idea to cuff himself to Michael and lets just say he gave Abruzzi the perfect chance to practice his butchering , when he hacked his hand off at the wrist (can this show please get more grizzly it still ain't OZ). We find the plane on the tarmac and whats left of the gang sans tweener (who we left in the woods but seems to fending well for himself) are running towards the now lifting off jet. Plane is gone, outta here , so Sucre turns to Michael "what do we do now, and Michael's reply " we run " so five prisoners with more cops than we can count just 50 yards away have left me wanting to jump off a cliff . C+ the entire season gets a generous B.

Why is launch trying to drive me crazy?

When I say never play again ,I mean never play again

I was working hard at my desk when my humps came on , I knew I must have been hearing wrong cause i told launch the last time the infernal song came on to stop it in its tracks - as in Never play again. My sista warned me about Launch's inability to follow orders but to see them actually defy me was too much, just skip you say sure but skip 5 ratty songs in a row and I'm left listening to some dude named Kyle. My humps almost cost me a decent album, Monkey business is a solid 7 out of 10 but after a first listen I couldn't get past my humps and had banished that Cd to coffee table obscurity until one faithful cleaning day with nothing left to listen to and no time to skip songs I listened to every track and was mildly impressed. Launch don't mess with our mojo just play what we pick...

Almost broken

SO Dr. Sara and Michael end their forbidden love before it even starts because get this Sara knows what he's up to- are we sure she's a doctor. Michael apologizes for playing her in the beginning( "but the kiss was real") and asks for her help, All he needs Sara to do is ro leave the the infirmary door unlocked. Poor Dr. T is heartbroken over this new development and this causes her to relapse and yearn for the bottle. Tweener is made a part of the group, and there's some friction about the growing guestlist. Bellick gets wind of the escape plans but is now presently tied up in an underground pipe somewhere--and yes kids someone actually cares cause the search is on. But poor Westmoreland he's been hurt pretty badly and lets just say things don't look to good. Nick Pulls a gun on Veronica ( Who cares about these 2 really) to stop her as per Abruzzi's orders and Michael intentionally causes the Warden's Taj Mahal project to collapse, so that he can threaten to shank the warden to death if he doesn't release Linc. Lets just see how this one plays out kids.

Don't mess with Jack

Now I've been neglecting 24 of a lates, so lets get you kids all caught up. So it turns that its President Logan-(the moron) and not the suspicious looking Vice P whose behind Prez Palmer's death. Audrey's Dad -Secretary Heller was informed by Jack about the tape but decided to confront Logan and his plan failed, he ends up driving himself off a cliff - that's what you get for not listening to Jack!! Anyway Henderson is captured and Jack goes after the recording. He ends up in the cargo hold of a diplomatic plane. Last nite we find Chloe trying to get away from Bill's house but CTU's just a block away. The CTU head,Karen, of all people is suspicious about President Moron's actions and decides to help Bill and Chloe. After she warns them, Chloe takes of to a hotel and Karen lets Bill know that he will be arrested as a suspect but Mile gets suspicious after she insists that Bill be interrogated at CTU by only her. Poor Manic Martha asks Mike for some pills( will she just go already) and Jack nocks out a
US Marshal, a supposed Henderson cronie... and then hijacks the plane. Fun! you go Jack. President Moron demands that Jack be taken dead or alive. Then the plane's Captain, Captain Cotter (tehehe) closes the hatch so Jack decides to threaten him by almost crashing the the plane.
Chloe then finds out that its the co-pilot who works with Henderson, so Jack calls the captain but Evans(the co-pilot ) nocks him out, but not before Jack burst into the cockpit, slaps him around and gets the recording. Hooray Jack. Oh but Graham the leader of a group of sinister corporations puppeting President Logan demands that the plane be shot down. NOT good.

I wasn't kidnapped just went on Vacation my peeps . So What have Michael and the gang been up to.. Well its been assortment of fake psychosis and near escapes. But last nite saw Michael and Sara finally making it to first ,---one hot drool worthy kiss. Lets hope there's more where that came from. Abruzzi's back and all holified, Tweener sliced his umm - cellmate with benefits! and the escape has been exposed. .... Goodtimes, only 3 more episodes left so get your TiVO ready for more hijinks. So have you grown accustomed to getting your DVD's via mail? well maybe so has your Postman. Apparently these little red envelopes are hard to resist. One lucky postman was found with 503 discs. DVD rentals by mail is a growing industry with Netflix now overtaking Blockbuster in DVD rentals in the U.S. ( services in Canada include zip.ca and dvdflix.ca) . With Netflix's popularity Zombiefying Blockbuster, the rental chain has had to make significant changes to stay relevant. "To compete, Blockbuster had to do away with its single biggest profit-earner: charging late fees to customers who kept videos past the due date. It also had to invest millions of dollars in a copycat online plan" Well Netflix just delivered Blockbuster some very bad news,Netflix was issued a patent for its "rental by mail service" on Tuesday and now they're suing the former rental giant for use of their patent. The moral of this story kids: Don't steal NETFLIX.
